Regardless of the head moving, it's a very good start. The movement of the feet and tail looks really natural, and as you said yourself in the description, the only thing to make the motion look even better is to add in some head motion. So, nicely done, I would consider this a successful practice attempt if I were you!
Thank you so much for this review. It's so kind of you to see how hard I tried to make everything fluid (except the head of course -_-) this practice was a good start for hopefully more things to come. Thank you again :D
I am blown away by this game. Above all, it looks amazing! The water effects are superb, and is quite possibly the best looking pixel-art game I have ever seen. This is a shining example of what Flixel can be used to create. The mechanics are very cool as well, and if not for the somewhat lacking villager AI, I would easily give this a 5/5 rating. As it is now though, the peasants aren't as intelligent in their defense as I feel they should be. Still, a superb game, Kingdom is!
Wow. This is a fantastic and original game in any context, but to have made this is 48 hours for a Ludum Dare makes it all the more impressive. I have nothing but praise for Clockwork Cat! The art is wonderful and works well, and is complemented by the simple sounds as well. A masterfully done game!
